The Information Risk Awareness training will cover two days and will cover a variety of issues around data security and emphasise how staff can increase their knowledge and understanding of security, risk and privacy. The training will seek to embed the core principles of information security in attendees so that it can become an intrinsic part of everything they do and ensure that corporate information assets are treated with the appropriate protection. The characteristics of these assets that need to be protected are Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability.
- Confidentiality ensures that information is available to only those who need and are authorised to access it.
- Integrity safeguards the accuracy and integrity of information and processing methods
- Availability ensures that authorised users have access to information and associated assets when required
The training will be an instructor led class with a mix of lecture, case studies, role play all making it a very interactive session.
It is expected that at the end of this training, attendees will demonstrate a very high level of awareness with regard to the sensitivity, privacy and protection of customer and business data.
